BE MY SANTA
Am counting days to my born-day and I remember the last birthday party I had was when I was in class three. When I was a kid, we lived in Ngumo where kids used to hold big birthday parties with bouncing castles and barbecue and all that fancy stuff you watch in movies used to be real in my estate. You know those spoilt brats who you'll find basically anything in their house from play-station (during that era I mean around 2002,2003) to backyard swimming pools and would always nyima you toys mkicheza 'kalongolongo'. My mum was however one of a kind, she made a habbit of always holding us little birthday parties with big home backed cakes which only included family members. I and my sisters were always super excited especially if you got a surprise visit from our favorite aunty, Aunty Akinyi who used to live in Tz those days.
So on my eighth birthday mum was sick during that time and i was so downcast because I knew that year round my day will be gone without a celebration. For an eight year old that was real trauma because my class was always in a competition of who will be bought for a cake on their day and an evidence of bringing a piece for the class teacher always made you a favorite.
Any memory of that day is always accompanied with smiles; that was the first time I had a surprise birthday party with all my friends in the estate also invited I couldn't hide the excitement of the day and how it also made me a cool kid in the estate. Mum must have been a very good strategist. Unfortunately for me that was the last party I was to have. Mum passed on a month later and dad has never been good at holding parties. So through out primary and high school it has always been just a cake accompanied with a novel/storybook ( am a great lover of literature) and that was it basically.

Luckily for me lady luck seems to be knocking my door after such a long time.
And now that's where you come in. Will you be my Santa? My day seems to have landed when am in school far away from home and it is on a Wednesday, when my timetable reads 'Sleep' from 7am-7pm. I always have a wish list for what Santa can do for me on my birthday I have been a good girl for the past one year, please don't forget me this time;
- Am a lover of parties and surprises. Organize that awesome surprise bash where friends lie we are going for a visit somewhere then we go to that kadark place and when the lights are switched on every friend is there and they are all like "SURPRISE!!!!" am sure the excitement on my face at that time will tell you what an awesome Santa you are. A night out after the party is also welcome.
- I love selfies and gadgets that always attract attention. A Samsung J5/ J7 will be ideal with is humongous screen and awesome shots I promise you every photo I upload in IG will always have a #cantthankmysantaenough #lotsaheartsanta.
- As a Kakamega student boda zimenigonga and the last one went tearing my lecture bag. A student car (VITZ) will be a much welcome. Definitely the first ride will be just us two and i wouldn't mind having your initials as my number plate.
